Hiya, recc’ing queen!! My insomnia has been a bitch lately. Any chance you could rec some fics where people actually recognize just how smart Tony is?

Hmmm….well, he is definitely smart in a lot of fics.  I am trying to think of one that I remember that really focused on how Tony’s  mind worked…does anyone remember that? It was a neat take on it.  There are also the BAMF!Tony recs, which tend to have smart!Tony.  Maybe followers have other ideas? Anyway, here are a couple of suggestions for you.

The arc reactor prototype was going to run Stark Tower for a year on
self-sustaining energy.  It was expanded to cover providing energy to
the hospitals after the Battle of Manhattan.  Distribution is now
beginning with an arc reactor to be placed in Chicago.  So, of course,
this is the reason the arc reactor is the topic of discussion…

Tony’s sick of all of them.  Well, there’s potentially a fifth, but it’s
highly unlikely that Captain America will suddenly fulfill THAT

W.I.P.E. (series) by tsukinofaerii: An AU of the events covering
SIEGE and immediate after. When Tony is rebooted after deleting his
brain, he’s left with no memory of anything, and lingering programs that
keep him from finding out everything he missed. Sometimes you just need
to start over, but there’s always a place in every plan for a backup.
