Tony-Centric fics

Tony-Centric fics

Hi~ I love your rec lists! I haven’t seen a list of Tony-centric
stories. Do you have one already? If not, and you feel up to it, would
you make one?

I am ridiculously late on this ask, sorry!  But, here you go with some
Tony-centric fics.  They are sort of all over the place, but cover lots
of possibilities, depending on what you are in the mood for. This list could go on and on, but these are a few favorites that I think you will like. Enjoy!

TONY SAYS LEAVE COMMENTS AND KUDOS FOR YOUR AUTHORS!

A New Way for Us by @stark-spangled-lovers:
They fight Thanos—and they’re losing. And before Tony knows what’s
happening, he’s standing with Doctor Strange in front of the Eye of
Agamotto and gets send back in time. Can he find a way to fix things
this time around, or are they doomed to fall apart all over again?

The Winged Soul by @inukagome15:
It wasn’t until he was three that he realized he was different and no one else could see the wings.

Follow In Your Footsteps by @sineala: When Tony is twelve, his soulmate’s name appears on his
wrist. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find out anything at all about Steve
Rogers. It turns out there’s a reason for that.

Blue Lips, Blue Veins by romanoff: Tony Stark is Iron Man.Before that, he was an man with bigger heart than brain. Before that,
he was an asshole with a bigger mouth than sense. And before that, he
was was a scared little boy. Not that it matters. Stark’s always have
had iron in their backbone.

Kludged Together by @veldeia:
When he cut his morning jog short to join Tony Stark on a reconnaissance
mission off the East Coast, Steve sure wasn’t expecting to end up stuck
on a life raft in the middle of the ocean, his hand knuckle-deep in
Stark’s chest.

450 Feet Under by @veldeia:
“So. Sitrep,“ Tony said aloud, mainly to keep himself sane. “I’m
stuck in a cave with no way to communicate to the outside world that I’m
alive, and there’s at least a couple of hundred feet of rock between me
and help. The way I came in is definitely blocked, and I’m sporting the
most spectacular compound fracture which will no doubt make moving
around a bit – interesting. Plan of action… Trying to get out on my
own might be a challenge.”

Or, cave rescue, Avengers style. Takes place at some non-specific
point in time after Iron Man 3 and before Age of Ultron. Established
Steve/Tony, though it’s mostly in the background.

When Life Becomes a Play (And I Don’t Know the Role I’m Cast) by firelord_zutara: Months after the Battle of New York, the team moves
into the tower. Tony and Steve keep dancing around each other, but
besides his feelings towards the man, Tony has enough to deal with, what
with trying to come to terms with himself and his own, personal issues.
He struggles through and through, but in the end, there’s only
one person who can save him – the one person he hates the most:
himself.

Tusk by @laudatenium: Strangely, or not so strangely, Steve is the one to call first.“Tony,” is all he says, low and throaty and oh so raspy.Tony
says nothing.  Not because he has nothing to say, but because he has
too much.  And maybe, for once, Steve should be the one talking.

Autumn People by @everybodyilovedies:
Tony knew since he was seven years old that he’s rotten
on the inside. He was born rotten, and he’ll die rotten. By the time he
forms the Avengers, he thinks maybe that’s okay: maybe everyone’s kind
of rotten, and what matters isn’t who they are, but what they do.And
then he meets Steve. And Steve’s not rotten. Not even a little bit.

Finding Pack by Naferty: In a world where pack means everything from status to
fame to survival and to family, newly pack-less Tony Stark is trying to
survive after those he once trusted betrayed him, and starting over by
searching for a new pack to take him in, but with his age and status
weighing heavily on his shoulders finding someone to take a chance on
him might be easier said than done. What pack wanted an old
infertile omega in their ranks? Certainly not the famous Avengers pack
led by the equally famous Captain.

Running Out of Time by Lenalena: Prompt: “After the events of IM 1, Tony joins the
expedition searching for Captain America as a holiday to get away from
all the media speculation and stock value crash hate he was getting from
the board. He’s testing out new kit, working up a new portfolio of
technology to boost the company back up, when he finds a plane wreck,
buried halfway under the Greenland ice sheet.”That is how he ends
up hiding Captain America in plain sight, while the man gets adjusted
to the 21st century. He is just doing him a favor, okay? What could possibly go wrong?

A Tortured Body, A Tortured Soul by audhds: Tony was coping fine. Well, fine apart from the
fact that he had well and truly pushed himself to breaking point, both
mentally and physically. But it was ok, Stark men are made of iron and
he didn’t have time to fall apart. His team needs him. And he can’t let
them down again. He has to stop being a failure. If he just worked a bit
harder, things would all be ok. Right?!…Or the one
where Tony Stark is being his usual self-destructive self, and it takes
Steve causing him to have a panic attack in the middle of a debriefing
for the team to realise that perhaps, Ironman isn’t quite as
indestructible as he would have people believe.

Ugly Parts (Interspersed with Moments of Savage Brightness) by AngeNoir: Tony has been fighting his whole life, against public
perception, against his body, against those that would control him. It
figured he’d have to fight for sex with Steve, too, that this would be
as savage, but it was so much worse.(Or so much better.)

Master of Communication by somanyfeels:
Tony didn’t like being touched, on the rare occasions he wanted physical
contact he would initiate it.  It was how things were, how it had
always been, and he was fine with it.  His new team didn’t know, they
just kept touching and Tony wasn’t quite sure how to ask them to stop.

In Deep Water by @itsallavengers: The Avengers want a pool. Tony can arrange that for
them. He can. The thought doesn’t fill him with horrible, daunting dread
and crippling fear.
Not at all.(Or maybe denial does more harm than good)

patchwork people by @itsallavengers: It was a pretty well-known fact that Tony Stark had control issues. It was far less well-known why, though.

Please Don’t Knock Over My Heart by milou407: The thing is, Tony never thought it was something that
would ever be said to him. It hadn’t ever before, so he figured he was
never going to hear those specific words said for him only. There had
been plenty of opportunities, with his parents, or Rhodey, or Pepper.
Somehow, he decided, the universe had mandated that Tony Stark wasn’t
someone to love. So it’s really not surprising that the first time Steve says “I love you” to him, he falls over.
