Short Time Travel
Hey! Do you know any fic with time travel but only a few years one of them or both. Most of them are ones when they got back to the 40’s. Or any when Howard somehow get into the future or any adult Tony meet with his parents and pls no abusive Howard. Thank You!
I only know a couple with short time travel spans, but here are a few. A lot of them feature a future or past version of one of them (usually Tony) showing up. If you like a good Howard, check out the Howard Isn’t So Bad recs. I think most of the time travel ones with Howard do not depict him as being particularly great.

A New Way for Us by @stark-spangled-lovers:
They fight Thanos—and they’re losing. And before Tony knows what’s
happening, he’s standing with Doctor Strange in front of the Eye of
Agamotto and gets send back in time. Can he find a way to fix things
this time around, or are they doomed to fall apart all over again?
The Future is Ours (Whether We Want It Or Not) by @stark-spangled-lovers:
After a hit from the Time Stone, Steve switches places with his future self.
The Future is Yet in Your Power by @festiveferret: “Now.” Wong leaned back in his chair. “What would you do to save this world from Thanos’ attack? What would you sacrifice?”“Anything,” Steve said. “Anything at all.”Wong considered him for a moment, expression unreadable. “There’s one thing, maybe.”
More than Gravity by JenTheSweetie:
“Aw, time travel, no.”
On Christmas Eve, Tony came unstuck in time. (Tonys from different times)
Re-Take by @inukagome15: This shouldn’t have happened. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. Everything was wrong, and all he wanted was to make it right. Because that was what they did. If Steve just had a second chance, he could fix everything.
Time and Again by @captainshellhead, vibraniumstark:
Steve gets sent back in time. Tony is certainly surprised to see him.
A Moment in History by @itsallavengers: Everything was going fine until Tony Stark from ten years in the past landed on his ass in their kitchen.Present-day Tony supposes this is just another Sunday Morning.
Take Me Back to the Start by @laireshi:
Tony’s pretty sure that’s his tech destroying New York, but he doesn’t
remember designing it. There are a lot of things he doesn’t remember.
But when a version of himself from the past shows up, and Steve can’t
even look at him, Tony starts to understand why he chose to forget.
Old Pictures that I’ll Always see (The Yesterdays Remix) by @laireshi:
Tony Stark and Steve Rogers find themselves in the future. Meeting their older selves is enlightening, to say the least.
Past Imperfect by @captainneverever: Present day Tony tells Steve that Steve wouldn’t like the college version of Tony. An
alternative Steve, living in a dystopian future, is sent back to the
past to stop the death of a young Tony Stark at MIT. He doesn’t know
what he’s going to find but he’s going to try his best to save Tony.
Between a Rock and a Hard Place by starspangledsprocket:
“Doom had sent him back in time with that laser – he had to have; it was
the only reasonable explanation for Rhodey looking so young, and the
fact it was now New Years Eve.”
That Time Back Then by @navaanwrites:
An accident sends Steve and Carol back in time and watching Steve and
Iron Man interact gives Steve a new perspective on how blind both of
them were all those years ago.
To Make Much of Time by @sineala:
When Iron Man rejects Steve’s romantic advances, Steve is disappointed,
but of course he understands – Iron Man’s secret identity is important.
But when a portal opens and Tony Stark crashes into their midst from
twelve years in the future, Steve starts to suspect that there are more
secrets here than he can even begin to comprehend, and neither Iron Man
nor Tony are providing any answers.
A Uniform Velocity from Cradle to the Grave by @sineala:
The machine found in the wake of the attempted Chitauri invasion opens a
portal that could lead anywhere. Steve’s sure as hell not expecting it
to lead a decade in the future, to a New York reeling from another alien
attack. And he’s definitely not expecting the man he finds on the other
side of it.
Your Name on Every Wall by @sineala:
The Time Gem throws Steve into the past rather than the future, and in
doing so, it gives him the opportunity to undo his past mistakes. But
when it turns out that all of his mistakes involve Tony Stark, Steve
begins to wonder if he’s ever going to be able to mend things between
them.
If You Want to Live (The Historical Present Remix) by @sineala: The Civil War is over. The SHRA is gone. Steve has been
brought back to life. He’s settling into his new duties as America’s
top cop. His longtime friendship with Carol Danvers – Avenger, former
director of SHIELD, and former leader of the pro-Registration forces –
is now a tenuous one. But something is very wrong in the world. This
isn’t how it was supposed to be. Someone is missing.Tony Stark
was killed at the age of seventeen, and it’s up to Steve to travel into
the past to save a man he doesn’t remember from a man he knows all too
well: a mysterious assassin from another time and place, a man with a
metal arm. And the truth is more complicated than anyone could ever have
guessed.
Flashing Lights by snoozingkitten:
Steve and the time stream don’t have the best relationship.
(features a not awesome Howard but not totally awful Howard)
Synergy by Renai_Chan:Steve travels to the past to prevent Tony’s death.
Because of having changed the future, though, his own future no longer
exists and he remains, not unwillingly, in the new future forever. The
only problem is that he wants Tony for himself and has to deal with his
past self who, obviously, has those same feelings. Two is always better than one, and that includes two Captain
Americas. But with only one Tony Stark between them, they’ll just have
to make do.
Let’s Go Back to the Start by RayShippouUchiha:
“I’m sorry Tony,” Steve whispers up to him as the hand he’s clutching
tightens its grip on his just a bit. “I should have, we all should have
listened to you. We, I, th-there’s a lot I should’ve done. Maybe
then-, ”
A Message from the Future by ThatRandomWeirdo01; There’s been an attack on New York, it should’ve been
ordinary but when does something for The Avengers ever go as planned?!
Suddenly, a portal fills the sky. That should’ve been weird by itself
but then they had to watch themselves fall out of the portal. Turns
out they’re from the future, 25 years from now. But now they’re stuck
here until the portal opens again. How will The Avengers react to being
able to know their future selves?
Bambino by cvsossong:
Maria Stark is accidentally transported from the 1980s. She gets to see what her son’s life has become.
A Little Help From My Friends by Pearl_Unplanned:
3 weeks after the team forms, no one’s expecting any visitors, especially not from 2018.
Beside You in Time by @kiyaar:
The world is ending: Tony is evil, Steve is old. So there’s nothing to
stop him from making the (terrible) decision to travel back in time in a
last-ditch effort to spare them both: by killing Tony’s past self to
spare them both from ending up where they’ve ended up. The Universe has
other plans. An honest-to-god fix-it for Superior Iron Man, Hickman’s
entire run, and pretty much everything since Tony decided it was a good
idea to take Extremis way back in 2005.
