Extremis

Extremis

Hi. Love your recs! Do you have any that deal with Tony having Extremis?
Or Steve dealing with Extremis Tony? Really just Extremis in general.
Thank you.

We are so lucky to have some great comic-verse authors who write such an array of works dealing with Extremis, and a few brave souls who have tried to play around with the idea in the MCU.  Bet we will see more of that with IW.  Here are some suggestions!

MAKE YOURSELF A SUPERIOR PERSON BY LEAVING COMMENTS AND KUDOS FOR YOUR AUTHORS!

Adaptive Immunity by @captainshellhead, vibraniumstark:
Tony programs Extremis to act as his immune system, and it works a little too well.

And the Tough Guys Tumble by @captainshellhead, vibraniumstark: “You’re not getting better, are you?” Steve asked, reaching out to stop him.“No, I’m not.”What-if
in which Tony doesn’t just simply reboot to get rid of the Harvester at
the end of Captain America and Iron Man: One Night in Madripoor.

i have found god and he is a mirror by snowdarkred:
Depression hurts. Extremis doesn’t help. Steve does.

Let Yourself by @blossomsinthemist:
Shortly after Tony gets Extremis, he and Steve end up stranded in the
Savage Land, with Extremis mysteriously not functioning and Tony barely
functioning, either.  Established relationship, set early in the first
New Avengers run.  This was inspired by a piece of art by Shaliara.

Virtual Realities (The Disappearance of Iron Man Remix) by antigrav_vector:
Tony takes Extremis. Things go sideways. Steve saves the day. It’s a Thursday.

Dreaming Electric by jukeboxhound:
New York City is still rebuilding in the wake of the Chitauri army when
the biotech virus Extremis is released, upgrading a lone domestic
terrorist into a posthuman threat.  Tony would’ve been happy to keep
going on playing with alien tech in his lab, saving average citizens as
Iron Man, and pretending not to notice these other people moving into
his tower, but sometimes a person just can’t have nice things.

Trinkets in the Tower by @themetalvitruvian:
Tony Stark finds it easy to feel like he is loved, if he looks in the right places.

there’s some questions you just shouldn’t ask by Avengerz:
The Avengers (read: Clint) wonders how sex between Steve and Tony works
with both Steve’s super soldier serum and Tony’s Extremis.

Extreme Measures by @wordsplat:
Steve wrestles with the idea of Tony injecting himself with Extremis.

Long Distance Relationship by cookinguptales:
So what do you do when your boyfriend gets sex pollened and you’re
thousands of miles away?  The correct answer here is Extremis sex.
Obviously.

Unspoken by @ironlawyer:
When Tony injects Extremis it does not go to plan.  Steve reflects on their relationship and what could’ve been.

Separate by @laireshi:
Extremis changed more than either of them had thought possible.

Staring into an Eclipse by @laireshi:
The New Avengers are the best thing to happen to Steve in months, or so
he thinks – until he starts a relationship with Tony. But when Tony
disappears after he gets Extremis, Steve isn’t sure of anything anymore.

warmth by @laireshi:
Steve has to take care of Tony when Extremis gets compromised.

A Meeting of Minds by Nix(CrimsonQuills):
As it turns out, the Extremis hadn’t quite finished rewriting Tony’s brain. The only potential fix has…consequences.

Benefit-Cost Analysis by omphaloskepsist:
Sometimes, Tony didn’t think Extremis was worth it.

Powers You Don’t Understand by @sineala:
After the events of Execute Program, Steve visits Tony in the hospital.
Steve has several objections to the use of Extremis, none of which
bother Tony in the slightest. Maybe they should have.

SR Beta Version by tsukinofaerii:
After the Civil War, Tony has to cope somehow, and the Extremis is a better enabler than liquor or work ever could be.

No Consolation by valtyr:
Extremis lies to Tony.

(Mind that tag…)
