Established Relationship Civil War
CW recs where Steve and Tony are married?
I’m not sure if you mean CACW or comics CW. I’ll try to give some of both. There
are more with established relationship than married, but here are a few
with them actually married (or close to it) during or after Civil War.
I’ll also add some established relationship recs as well. If anyone has
other suggestions, please feel free to add them.
CACW: Married
Take It All Away by @stark-spangled-lovers: Steve and Tony love each other—that would undoubtedly
always be true. However, there might just be things that don’t care for
love, that don’t care what it means for the two to take different sides.
Things that none of them could’ve foreseen. Things that might just rip
everything apart. When the United Nations attempt to put
restrictions on the Avengers, Tony has to admit that the pawns had been
in place for a long time, he just hadn’t dared to admit it to himself.
And now, it is simply a matter of who will move first—and more
importantly: in which direction. (this is the final part of the Say When ‘verse)
If You Need Me, I’ll be There (series) by 88problems:
Based on the Captain America: Civil War office scene at the end of the
film. It has been a few weeks since Siberia. Long enough to have
memorized the letter. “If you need me, I”ll be there.” Those seven words
haunt him, as does the phone.
Would You Have Married Me? by 1000mileshigh:
The band was smooth, a rose gold studded with rubies around one half. It
was gorgeous, everything Tony didn’t know he wanted. It fit perfectly,
so perfectly, as if it was meant to be right where it was, on Tony’s
left ring finger. Tony fell in love and then loudly, so forcefully it
came out as a scream of agony, he fell apart.
The Fine Print by ShyOwl:
Steve signed the Accords after rescuing Bucky. He also signed something
else. Always read the fine print, Steve, or you may find yourself
married to Tony Stark. (post-cacw accidental marriage)
CACW: Established Relationship
This Tomb of My Heart Turned Happiness to Dust by @neurotoxia:
For all that Tony likes to dub himself a futurist, he did not envision his reunion with Steve to go this way.
voglio sentirti by lackluster_lexicon:
Steve returns to Stark Tower ten months after leaving Tony in Siberia.
Missing You by @a-salty-alto:
Tony misses Steve. Steve misses Tony. Things don’t exactly work out like they’d expect. But they also sorta do.
Distance by @cnjrupasmle: “Not even a week had passed since Steve and his BFF had completely
demolished his suit and slunk off into the shadows and already Tony
missed the hell out of him. Steve, that is. He still couldn’t really
bring himself to give a rat’s ass about Barnes except for the fact that
he was important to Steve.Tony snapped the phone shut and set it to the side. On second
thought, he pushed it a few inches further away. He was pretty sure it
wasn’t possible, but he didn’t want to take any chances that the
archaicness was contagious. Satisfied that the flip phone was far
enough away so that his shiny new StarkTech was safe, Tony turned back
to the carefully creased paper again.Tony read the letter a fourth time. His fingers twitched.”
Better Angels by sabrecmc: Chris Evans mentioned in an interview (jokingly,
unfortunately) that there was a deleted scene from Civil War with him
and RDJ showering together.Welp. Headcanon accepted.
Lesser Demons by sabrecmc: Peggy leaves Steve something in her will. Sequel to Better Angels, but can be read alone.
Kaleidoscope Heart by @sheron:
Two years after their Civil War, the Avengers are reconciled, and Steve
and Tony have made it work together. But it seems even as they look to
the future, the past isn’t done with them yet.
Some Great Reward by @kiyaar:
After the events of Captain America: Civil War, Tony and Steve come to an agreement. It doesn’t involve affection.
Comics Civil War: Married
To the End of Love by @laireshi: Steve’s been married to Tony for years when the
Stamford disaster happens and the Superhero Registration Act tears the
superhero community apart. When Tony disagrees with Steve, Steve still
expects Iron Man to follow him: he’s his best friend, for one, and he’s
chosen to keep his identity a secret from everyone. But Iron Man also
fights against him.And then Steve smashes his faceplate open.
Between You and Me by navaan:
“I’m sorry, Tony, but you know I can’t,” Steve says and Tony knows there is no stopping him. When was there ever?
Comics Civil War: Established Relationship
Highest Fall You’ll Ever Grace by @laireshi:
“You’ll probably want these back,” Tony says at last,
and it hurts almost physically to pull the dog tags over his head and
offer them to Steve. But they never really belonged to Tony, did
they?Steve seems to hesitate for a second, but then he takes his dog
tags with a weird expression. “Yeah,” he says. “They’re mine.”
My Beloved Few by @blossomsinthemist:
Written for Project Happy Stark: Bleeding Edge. Tony and Steve have
gotten together after the end of Civil War–even though Tony still can’t
quite believe it–and he wants to do something special. Just because.
Worthless by @everybodyilovedies:
Tony visits Steve one more time, in between his jail cell on the
helicarrier and his assassination on the court house steps. Missing
scene set between the two scenes in “The Confession”.
Catch Me Through the Looking Glass by Ylixia:
It’s like a recurring nightmare: Steve Rogers, trapped in a world that
is not his own, new love left behind, and nothing to keep him going but
questions.
(Actually, this is an MCU/616 crossover, but feels very comic-book-y to me
