Romantic Comedies
Hey, do you have any favorite romcoms? I know you wrote the Sweet Home Alabama AU and Vegas feels like a Pretty Woman/Crime thriller mashup. I rarely watch them, not even covered the classics (1920s-like) so they’d all be new to me 😊.
I don’t read a lot of fluffier fics, but I do have a few that I love and would definitely recommend as in the spirit of romcoms:
A Budapest Christmas by @shetlandowl:
A Housesitter AU where Tony moves into Steve’s place, charms his parents, befriends his life-long friends, and repairs the relationships Steve ruined in the aftermath of his own heartbreak. Their relationship is a happy, loving, and supportive one; or, at least it was so until Steve showed up unannounced and was congratulated on a marriage he’d never heard of.
(It Only Took) Five Weeks by @shetlandowl:
After a year-long sabbatical abroad, Tony returns to his post at the Department of Architecture at MIT in time to hear all the excitement over a hot new stud on Fury’s faculty roster, a Dr. Steve Rogers. As a genius and the only MIT alumnus in the faculty, he’s not used to being eclipsed by anyone, and he doesn’t take it all that well.
Reel Me In by @imafriendlydalek and @orbingarrow:  Don’t know anything about fishing or lobsters? No worries. Tony doesn’t either. What he does know is that the captain of the good ship Freedom is too hot for Maine, the captain’s best friends are the best kind of trouble, and that any town with a watering hole called The Bearded Clam is worth a second look.(Bucky has a hook, Rhodey’s got game, and Tony’s 2,300 miles from his happy ending.)
The Chemistry of Love by @inukagome15:
Chemistry: the science that deals with the composition and properties of substances and various elementary forms of matter. Or, alternatively, the interaction of one personality with another, e.g., Steve Rogers and his absolutely pathetic crush on his chemistry TA, Tony Stark.
